MOD Special Projects Industry Day

The MOD Special Projects Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) and Strategic Command (UKStratCom) Industry Day provides a key opportunity for the Capability Sponsor, Delivery Agency and industry partners to connect, gain clearer understanding of the current capability programme, and discuss and help inform future requirements. 

The Industry Day takes place from 0800 - 1700 on 2 November 2022. The programme will include a morning of presentations from UKStratCom which will be held at Official Sensitive (OS). This will allow delegates to take notes.

This will be followed by and afternoon of 1:1 sessions to allow delegates to meet with DE&S team leaders at 'Secret', which will provide opportunities for industry to engage with Special Projects DE&S team leaders.

The delegate will be able to select up to 3 x 1:1 meetings with members of the Special Projects Programme Delivery Teams, bookable in advance through the registration system. The system will operate on a first come, first served basis. 

Afternoon Networking

When not in a 1:1 session, delegates will be able to freely network with further members of DE&S and UKStratCom at Official Sensitive. 

Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.

Security Clearance

Attendance at the SP Industry day will require the individual to hold valid Security Clearance.  The event will be 'UK Eyes Only' and UK passport holders with current and valid security clearance at levels: 

Security Check 'SC' or 

Enhanced Security Check 'eSC' or 

Developed Vetting 'DV' or 

Enhanced Developed Vetting 'eDV' clearance 

may apply.

The requirement to ensure that attendees are security cleared means that late bookings will not be accepted.

This is achieved by conducting near and long-term capability planning with a focus on innovation and emerging technologies.

The DE&S Special Projects Programme Delivery Group is responsible for the procurement and in-service support of a range of equipment capabilities identified by Cap SP for use primarily by Specialist Users.
